We ended up sleeping in until around 8:30 and headed down for breakfast in the hotel before beginning our trek to see the Little Mermaid. We didn’t realize it would be such a long walk, but we had several hours to kill before our transfer to the ship at 2:30. Altogether, we walked a good 5 miles there and back. We saw some great sights, but the mermaid herself was definitely not worth the trip.
Fortunately, we made it back to the hotel in one piece and had a nice lunch on the patio again while awaiting our ride. He arrived a little early, and off we went! No surprise, our room was fabulous. Our balcony is large enough Megan could do cartwheels, although not recommended. Lol.
We spent the evening doing a little exploring, but mostly hung out in the room and we dined in. Tomorrow we would have a full day at sea.
